Swiss hiking difficulty estimation

This model predicts the difficulty of a hiking route based on user reports and OSM data. Difficulty levels follow the official SAC/CAS grading scale.


Instructions

  1. Use the red polyline tool to draw a route (multiple clicks). Double click on last point to finish.
  2. Optionally click Snap drawn lines to existing paths to align your route (where possible). After snapping, your original drawing is cleared automatically.
  3. Click Predict difficulty to estimate the difficulty of the displayed path and the individual segments.
  4. Use Reset to clear the map and start over.
